OK, my friends.
After my words, I offer here Patti Smith’s words about her experience at the Nobel ceremony.
Nobody could say it better.

The power of these words do not come from the fact that they refer to the yesterday event – i feel
but because they come straight from an honest heart in that moment? : Straight from the heart.
Still , how can we know? anything?
further contemplating the American elections:
I was mentioned a text on global thinking against tribal thinking on the Integral Life website (Wilber).
I understand, and i agree, but this doesn’t yet feel the essence to me.
the essence is deeper?
We are lost in a world that is too complex. All this information 24 on 24 from every inch of the world: how can we relate to this?
For it is too much. And still we feel » l’appelle dans le regard de l’ autre » – eye to eye – on the screen – straight to our heart too…
But not only one or a few appelles: but if we want whole day through 24 on 24 –
Again: how can we relate to the results of our digital informationsociaty in a decent, human , compassionate way? with our human brains – the way they are now – maybe not yet ready for digital information society?
There is some big danger in this: that we become apathic – that we have an indigestion of it – that our nerves system cannot handle this anymore ( from where is this burnout epidemic coming? – from where is the tribal thinking coming? ), that we close ourselves.
That in this most informed society ever, we are the most closed, the most cynical, the most uncompasioned ever.
We have a dilemma
i feel deeper research is needed to find real and honest solutions.
Far under the tribal thinking – and even more essential: the human brain wants clear gestalts to which we can relate to. We need a simple ‘other’ to define ourselves – to reassure us from our existence. So we create border – gestalts. We urge for identification. Even much more deeper than the « tribe ».
Although apparently tribe suits wel for a lot of people these days. Let us study this rather ten condemn it – for the real insight will come from there. They are teaching us something.
The only thing that i can do for the moment is in all humbleness, UNcynical, sadness, anger, powerlessness admit that this difficulty is there – and that i don’t know how to relate to all this. And do my best to comtemplate it further –
and better rather fast because things are changing in weird ways.
Let us pray these days not to become apathic, not to become cynical – and not get a burnout…. if we already don’t have one…
we must go on…
i will go on…
UAU!
and i return to my last retreat and the altar.

Who is « them », if not all of us, including Ms. Smith?
Thank you, Amy, for sharing this inspiring episode.
waw!
so as i feel – her telling about the reactions to her the day after:
something vulnerable has been communicated…
didn’t it?
…
we must go on
i will go on
…
but what then with: » no 2 persons have ever met ? «
